About EOS – Entrepreneurial Operating System

EOS is the Entrepreneurial Operating System: a set of simple, yet effective, tools that help entrepreneurs get more of what they want from their businesses. EOS uses a proven process that helps leadership teams do three things we call Vision, Traction, and Healthy.

Vision centers on making sure leaders and their teams are 100% on the same page with where the organization is, where it’s going and how it’s going to get there. Traction helps leaders become more disciplined and accountable to help enable them to better execute their vision. Getting Healthy means helping leaders and their teams become a functional, cohesive leadership team.

The goal of EOS is to give you the proven tools needed to focus your entire organization on a crystal clear and common vision, to make everyone on the team more disciplined and accountable in executing that vision – gaining traction towards achieving it – and creating a healthy, functional, cohesive organization optimally suited to achieving exceptional performance as a result.

The EOS Process

Our proven process is simple, effective, and leads to real results. We use a unique combination of teaching, facilitating, and coaching. There’s no theory, no magic pills, and no flavor of the month. We use timeless principles that have been proven to make organizations great. Our process has been embraced by over 500 leadership teams across the U.S.

Business owners, leaders and managers are often very busy and don’t see how they can add anything more to their plate – thus the feeling of being stuck and frustrated. This process (illustrated below) takes that into consideration, helping leaders and managers to implement the tools that will have the greatest impact first. Within a short period of time, everything starts to fall into place and you experience that wonderful feeling of freedom. The business is no longer controlling you, you are controlling the business – improving and making substantial progress every 90 days. We call that Traction.

How the EOS Process Works

To begin, someone will need to play the essential role of “EOS Implementer” to guide a leadership team through the process. This can be a person on the leadership team or a professional implementer outside the company.

The 90 Minute Meeting – introduces the leadership team of a company to EOS, getting everyone on the same page so they can decide if they want to use the system and tools to strengthen their company.  There is zero cost, or obligation, associated with this session other than your time.

The Focus Day – a day to give the leadership team tools to clarify who’s responsible for what, set priorities, improve communication, resolve issues and track critical numbers.

The leadership team then uses their new tools in their business for the next 30 days to experience real improvement.

Vision Building Day 1 – another day with the leadership team that starts by reviewing and sharpening the Focus Day tools. They then begin to use the V/TO, Vision / Traction Organizer, tool to clarify their vision, starting with who they are, why they exist, what they do and where they are going. They will also get a great tool for reviewing their people.

The team again uses their tools in their business for the next 30 days to experience more improvement. This is a spaced-learning approach which has proven to be most effective for quickly gaining proficiency with the tools.

Vision Building Day 2 – another day with the leadership team to master the Focus Day tools and continue using the V/TO tool to complete their vision, clarifying their Marketing Strategy, their 3-Year Picture, 1-Year Plan and priorities for the next 90 days.

With the leaders now focused and all on the same page, they use the tools for the next 90 days to execute their plan. They will see more improvement.

Quarterly Sessions – a day with the leadership team every 90 days to evaluate their performance, refocus, set priorities for the next 90 days and resolve any issues that might impede their progress.

They experience measurable growth and improvement every 90 days – Traction.

Annual Sessions – 2 days with the leadership team each year to work on team health and update their vision and plan for the next year and next quarter.

The result is a healthy, focused leadership team and organization that makes continual progress towards achieving everything in their vision.
